EMBODIED PRACTICES
Embodied Practices
In our modern urban world, we can forget that we are a part of nature and that our bodies are a key access points for dimensions of intelligence that add to our rational decision making capacities. Embodied practices are ways to access those range of intelligences by connecting to our heart/emotions, to our body/gut instinct, to our energy/spirit.
Many of us are familiar with mindfulness practices such as sitting meditation or prayer as a way to access nuances of awareness that can enrich our lives and our leadership. But sitting meditation is not the only way, and can be counterproductive for those of us who may need to feel more grounded in order to feel safe in the world.
